Acta Bioethica is a biannual journal published by the Interdisciplinary Center for Studies on Bioethics, University of Chile. Indexed in Science Citation Index (SCI), Lilacs, SciELO and Latindex and in databases of several institutions, the journal presents pluralists perspectives on bioethics issues and constitutes an important platform for contributions of qualified authors compromised with an interdisciplinary vision of conditions and ethical consequences of scientific technology in research.

The journal edits issues with specific topics with articles requested by an invited editor (specialist in the topic chosen), and also includes articles of various topics not requested (interfaces), current publications reviews and other significant bioethics documents. It counts with an International Advisory Committee and a system to review manuscripts with peer review. The journal has a free distribution to university libraries, PAHO documentation centers, institutions interested in disseminating bioethics to their members and independently, to professionals and specialists in biomedical and social research who are interested in bioethics for their discipline.
